The parks that we can visit with the family in Madrid in autumn

At fall one of the most extraordinary phenomena occurs in the nature, he Color change of the leaves of the trees with yellow, orange, and ocher tones. And although the most beautiful thing is to see it in the mountains and stroll through large areas of forests we can always enjoy the parks in the cities. In the case of Madrid It is a pleasure to visit and enjoy some of them to breathe fresh air, observe the change of colors and of course it is worth taking the camera to collect the experience with the kids.

Capricho Park (in the first image): it is one of the most beautiful parks in Madrid, it is located in Alameda de Osuna. It was created in 1784 by the Dukes of Osuna, especially by the Duchess María Josefa de la Soledad Alonso Pimentel, who created an authentic natural paradise frequented by the most illustrious personalities of the time and in which artists, gardeners and set designers worked with more prestige. Although after the death of the Duchess the park lost importance, in 1999 the City Council of Madrid acquired it and now it is a joy to visit it and enjoy its extraordinary walks. It includes three different styles: the parterre or French garden, the English landscape and the Italian giardino. It is one of my favorites.

Retiro Park (in the previous image): it is one of the most recognized parks in the city and is a must for tourists and locals who want to enjoy the fresh air in the heart of the capital. It is surrounded by an artistic fence with twelve monumental doors, the park includes sculptures, buildings and of course many gardens. In the pavilions of the Park you can attend exhibitions, such as in the Crystal Palace that together with its artificial lake was built in 1887 on the occasion of the Exhibition of the Philippine Islands. It is another of my favorites and it is always worth looking for an excuse to explore it.

Campo del Moro Garden: It is between the Manzanares River and the Royal Palace and has been the scene of hunting, fair and tournaments. It did not become a garden until the reign of Isabel II. It was at that time that the park was designed more or less as we know it now and the Tritons fountains were installed. The gardens include 70 tree species, some of them with an antiquity of 170 years. From the garden you get one of the best perspectives of the Royal Palace thanks to its unevenness. It is also an extraordinary park to visit.

Quinta de la Fuente del Berro: It is known as the Parque del la Fuente del Berro, acquired by the Duke of Frias and Count de Haro, Constable of Castile in the 17th century. The land is shaped like a landscaped garden. Although some of the original elements have been lost, others have been preserved as the small estuary or the duck pond, as well as the waterfall that had disappeared. The park has a total of six tickets. In 1941 it was declared a historical-artistic garden and since 1948 it belongs to the Madrid City Council. It has centennial vegetation. It is a park to discover because I have visited very little.

Fifth the mills: a unique garden because it includes areas of agricultural exploitation and a Mediterranean character because in the park you can find olive trees, pines and eucalyptus although the true protagonist of the park is the almond trees, which ensures that in the spring the Quinta also has many visits. The park has several ponds, fountains, a mill, a reconstructed 20th century mansion and the Clock House That is a cultural center. It is closed, with brick walls, around its perimeter and has five access doors. It is divided into two zones, the north of romantic-landscape style and the south of agricultural character. I have visited it several times and its extension and the area of the almond trees is very impressive

So we only have to visit the Parks of Madrid in autumn enjoying a good walk, in good company and making the best photos to remember when the kids grow up.
