This is what they told a mother for sharing her daughter's photos 'breastfeeding' a baby

One of the best things about children is that most of their education is based on observation: they learn more from what they see than from what we tell them, and that's why educating is easier if we, the parents, are as we want them to be.

Now, sometimes they learn things that seem to bother others, such as the case of this girl and her mother. They were buying when the girl said her doll was hungry; He picked up his shirt and breastfed it. It seemed so tender to the mother that she wanted to share it. It didn't take long to receive insults and complaints from acquaintances and strangers.

Horrified by the response received

The two-year-old girl by name CharlotteHe only did the same thing his mother does with her since she was born. The mother liked the gesture and shared it on her Facebook wall with the text:

You know you are a nursing mother when you see your daughter in the middle of a store saying 'the baby cries, the baby wants to eat'.

This text was accompanied by several hashtags saying things like breastfeeding in public, normalization of breastfeeding, prolonged breastfeeding, etc.

The next morning some of her friends reproached her for the image and the text, and asked if she had shared this to hurt them; Yes it was a personal attack against them for not breastfeeding.

Another woman shared her status and said it was "one of the most unpleasant things he had seen in his life", and added that if a mother feels good that her daughter lifts her shirt to put her doll's mouth on her little points pretending to breastfeed, "she needs a punch in her damn face."

Affected by these words she shared her status and this one on the Breastfeeding Mama Talk page, where she explained that she was tremendously sunk by what was going on. He added that although he was still breastfeeding Charlotte, he fed his 5-year-old son with formula milk, and that both options seemed equally wonderful.

In addition, he made the similes that anyone in his situation would do: a girl who feeds a doll with a bottle, is she doing something wrong? Would anyone criticize her? And a child who plays with cars, and plays to fix them as he sees adults? Isn't breastfeeding a natural thing that children can imitate? On the other hand, Charlotte is breastfeeding, shouldn't she? Because if it's wrong for her to play to breastfeed her dolls, maybe we should deduce that breastfeeding is also a mistake, right?

All support for Charlotte's mother

From here I want to give all my support to Charlotte's mother. He has remained anonymous, but does not deserve the criticism he has received at all. It makes no sense that you can't put such an image because it can hurt sensitivities, and it makes no sense that you can't put it because someone seems disgusting.

Well, precisely because of that, because there are people who consider it immoral, we need more mothers sharing their experience with breastfeeding, breastfeeding in the street and more children playing breastfeeding. That is why a few days ago I explained the four reasons why the world needs mothers to breastfeed in public, to eradicate myths, prejudices and bad education associated with an act as natural as gestar or calving.
