The general idea of the park is to be a place where both people with disabilities and those who do not have any can enjoy and live together, always promoting inclusion. An example of this is that a third of employees have some special need.

In order to visit the park, it is necessary to book in advance the day you plan to attend, as they only allow entry at half of their total capacity so that everyone can feel more comfortable. Something that has also enchanted parents is that visitors who have some special need enter completely free, since according to their creators, it is not about selling tickets, but about offering a service.

This place was created by Gordon and Maggie Hartman, inspired by their daughter Morgan, who has special needs and abilities, and has often felt excluded for not being able to enjoy the attractions in other places.

Happy Fathers Day to you and yours! Seven years ago Mr. Hartman opened #MorgansWonderland in honor of his largest inspiration, his daughter Morgan. Yesterday, we celebrated this father-daughter duo in an amazing way, as we opened #MorgansInspirationIsland. We might be a little biased, but we think that's pretty incredible. ‍ ‍ # MorgansInspirationIsland #MorgansWonderland #TexasToDo #accessibility #inclusion #fathersday

In addition to the fact that the entire park is designed so that everyone can have fun equally, they have wheelchairs specially designed waterproof and that work with compressed air, for those who travel with expensive chairs or who work with electricity can enjoy the sources of carefree water and move freely.

Other features also include wristbands with waterproof GPS locator, special for children who have to wander or for large families and so parents always know where their children are.

They also have an area called Rainbow reef, in which the water temperature can be adjusted for people who are sensitive to cold. It also has private areas, so that in case a visitor feels overwhelmed by the crowds, he can go to relax.

In a press release, Gordon Hartman states that "This park is not one for special needs, it is an inclusion park".

Prior to this park, the Hartmans had already created another inclusive park a few years ago, in which the areas were also adapted for people with special needs. The water park was intended as an extension and the first in the world in which all water attractions were intended to include everyone.

For the creation of the park, an investment of 17 million was required and doctors, parents and therapists of people with special abilities were consulted. We hope that soon there will be more places where people with special abilities and needs are taken into account, so that everyone can enjoy equally.
