Guardian angel in body form as protection against sudden death

Scientists from the Textiles and Procedures Research Institute of the German city of Denkendorf, have just developed a baby body that will act as guardian angel preventing one of the most common causes of death among babies, sudden death.

With the appearance of an ordinary garment, among its composition are hidden some sensors that act by scanning the activity of the lungs or heart, as well as the temperature of the baby and sweating. All data is transmitted to a computer that verifies that the values provided by the sensors are within normality. In the event of an anomalous result, the computer gives the alarm so that, either the parents or the doctors, they can act with proper care of the baby and avoiding such a tragic outcome. Interesting is the possibility of being able to analyze after passing the danger, what was the reason that generated this alarm and deepen that aspect to understand in greater depth why sudden death occurs.

The guardian angel is silent and goes completely unnoticed, in fact, the sensors are not appreciated, being a piece of clothing for the baby, it will no longer be necessary to place the sensors on the skin of the offspring. The researchers' next goal is to reduce the size of the computer system to that of a mobile phone, which will facilitate greater comfort.

The new design aims to reduce the current infant mortality rates in Germany caused by sudden death, which are between 300 and 400. The only downside is the high cost of the entire system, which is what He has thought about establishing a leasing system that allows parents to access the body and return it once the baby has grown enough eliminating the risk.
