Losing a baby is one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. While all gestational losses are very painful, in the case of those parents who expected multiple, the grieving process can be very complex and difficult, because you have to take care of babies who remained alive while suffering the loss of a baby.
A mother who was expecting twins and who unfortunately lost one of them, He has found strength and comfort in honoring his two babies in an impressive and emotional photograph, in which his newborn baby appears next to the ashes of his twin brother.
Sarah Simmons of Charlie Horse Photography is the photographer behind the beautiful image in which Tiger, a newborn baby, appears next to the ashes of his twin brother Johnny, who died when his mother was five months pregnant.
The newborn photo shoot for the twins was scheduled well in advance, and despite having lost their baby, the mother decided that she would continue with her plans, hoping they could honor Johnny's memory during the session.

Through a Facebook post, Sarah thanks the babies' parents for allowing her to celebrate Tiger's birth and honor Johnny's memory:
This image is incredibly important to me and is one of the ones that has made me most nervous. This image was not created for the awards, it was created for my amazing clients Cherie and Hayden and their family.
This image is of little baby Tiger, who was Johnny's twin brother. Unfortunately Johnny died during pregnancy but is still a large part of this family. I wanted to photograph them together and show their connection. I wanted to photograph them in the same place to symbolize that they shared the same belly and show that they are still connected and will do so forever.
In an interview with Stuff, a local media from New Zealand where the photographer originated, she comments that this was one of the photographs with which she participated in Portraits Masters, an international photography contest held in Las Vegas, in which won first place in the category of newborn photography, as well as the first absolute place among the 7,000 photographs that participated in the contest.
The mother, Cherie Ayrton, shared the results of the contest on her Facebook account, thanking Sarah for honoring her two babies, and mentioning how much it has helped her see the signs of love and support they have received:
When Sarah Simmons wins the Newborn category with our kids. And earn much more than that! Very proud to see my babies on the screen! I feel very emotional right now. I miss Johnny very much, it's a pain that never goes away. I feel very empty but also very grateful to have such a beautiful image to celebrate, of one of the most talented photographers in the WORLD. Congratulations Sarah, you must be proud. It is very nice that my son's memory is still alive and is touching hearts around the world.
