Summer Flavor, promotional campaign for the consumption of seasonal fruit

For the second consecutive year the Seasonal fruit consumption promotion campaign, especially among the child and youth population, since according to the Minister of Agriculture, Elena Espinosa, the Spanish homes where less fruit is consumed is where there are children between 5 and 17 years old.

This initiative, the result of the joint work of the MAPA (Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food) and the CCAE (Confederation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Spain), want the “Summer Flavor” It is found in all homes in the form of sweet fruit with bone or pips, such as melon or watermelon. In the campaign the benefits of the fruit, its characteristics and properties will be announced, and for this 800,000 information leaflets and 15,000 posters will be distributed in supermarkets, fruit shops, municipal markets, etc.

Summer fruit tastings will also be offered in different cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Seville or Valencia and in large establishments such as Sabeco, Maxi- Day and Ahorramás.

As a reinforcement of the campaign, a web page has been created where all the related information is found, information that will come in handy to read with the little ones in the house.
