There will be no baby check for mixed marriages, for now

Last week we announced that on October 15, that is yesterday, the motion presented by the PP to extend the aid by birth or adoption to the Plenary would be debated in the Plenary of the Upper House mixed couples formed by a Spanish and a foreigner With less than 2 years of legal residence in Spain.

Well, the full and momentum has been celebrated, the Senate rules out extending aid to these marriages (about 20,000 couples).

The current law does not allow these couples to apply for 2,500 euros, calling it discriminatory against other cases such as homosexual couples, who can choose the recipient of the aid or couples in which she is Spanish who can receive help even if she is married to a foreigner who does not legally reside.

Of course, they have sold the law in the middle of the electoral campaign as a benefit “for all families” when it is not, and with the intention of raising the birth rate, although I do not think it is the right way.

It is precisely foreign women who have contributed to raising birth rates in recent years in Spain and they are denied 2,500 euros.

We will see what the matter ends, because there are many sectors that promise not to keep their arms crossed.
