I have tried an application that I think is great for the little ones, because it combines classics of literature with the latest technologies, such as The Adventures of Don Quijote, a classic adapted for children who can enjoy on the iPad.
It is the first title published by the firm Touch of Classic, the first collection of universal literature classics for adapted, illustrated and interactive iPad tablets for children, which in just three days of launch has become number 1 in book downloads in the App Store Spain.
The Adventures of Don Quijote It is a wonderful interactive journey through the adventures of the walking knight, available in English and Spanish. It is a project endorsed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports as well as the Miguel de Cervantes Virtual Library Foundation.
My daughters (aged 7 and 5) have loved it, and I must say that I do too. It is an interactive book made with great quality, in which the narrator's intonation quickly catches the attention of the little ones.
It also has music, beautiful illustrations and numerous interactive activities such as finding the 12 hidden shields of Don Quijote or tactile games that you will find on each screen. The boy is thus involved in the story and entertains himself by forming the knight's armor, or by turning a inn in a castle or a giant mill into a magical touch.
You can also customize the story as we like. It allows you to remove text from the screen, narration, music, or record the story with our own voices.
