A Catalan dad who works in the City of Lleida has achieved recognition of his right to enjoy a breastfeeding permit for one year.
I do not know the circumstances of the specific case but, according to the news, it is clear that it was the father who decided to enjoy it and be able to dedicate that time to your little one.
It turns out that Catalan law offers 9 months of breastfeeding to public and state workers one year, but this father was initially granted only the first option.
He went to court asking that the law of higher rank be applied and that it gave him more advantages and the judge had ruled in his favor, recognizing the right to enjoy the lactation permit for a year.
Usually it is the mothers who request the nursing license but do not forget that this permission does not necessarily imply that the baby is breastfed.
