World Week of Respected Childbirth 2013

As of today, the World Week of Respected Childbirth takes place, and although we often bring you news and reflections related to this topic, because we consider that fighting for a respected birth is a daily task, this week we will talk more about it.

This year, the motto of the World Week of Respected Childbirth is "Please do not disturb! We are in labor". And one of the images to spread the campaign worldwide has been that of some hangers for the door with this motto in several languages, created by the association El Parto es Nuestro.

The World Week of Respected Childbirth is an opportunity to get to know the international opinions on a specific issue related to the promotion of a respected birth and objectives and ideas are proposed to be carried out according to a common motto, while each country organizes different related events. From the website of Childbirth is ours you can consult those organized in Spain.

World Week of Respected Childbirth It is an initiative of AFAR (Alliance Francophone pour l'Accouchement Respecté), a French non-profit organization founded in 2003. Since 2011 it is coordinated by the European Network of Childbirth Associations (ENCA).

We hope that during these days there is much debate about these very interesting and necessary topics and we are closer to improve delivery care.
