Starting Monday, Spanish scientists, inventors and researchers will be closer to children in TVE 2

We had already anticipated in Peques y Más, the activities that Science Week is doing in Madrid, although you should know that it is celebrated simultaneously in different places of the Spanish Geography. And the best: you are on time to find a way to participate with your children, because it goes on until next September 17.

Today I would like to invite you to continue from Monday the 11th, the 50 audiovisual scientific pills (or part of them), which will be broadcast daily at 6 pm on La 2 de Televisión Española. It is a time when many children are at home, and a good time to bring science to those little bright minds that ask questions about everything around them. Very recently I have met the mother of a six-year-old boy who is bored with stories and fascinated by books on Science, I am sure there are many more, and everyone will love this initiative. The pills are based on Spanish scientists, inventors and researchers that have stood out throughout history, such as Blas Cabrera, Santiago Ramón y Cajal, Isaac Peral, Severo Ochoa, Miguel Servet, Leonardo Torres Quevedo, Mónico Sánchez or Juan de la Cierva.

Also included are pieces about scientists who continue to make history of Spanish science today, such as Margarita Salas, Valentín Fuster, María Blasco, Celia Sánchez Ramos, Juan Ignacio Cirac or Avelino Corma

These are characters that have developed inventions capable of changing our lives, and they have decidedly contributed to the development of science in Spain, so the effort to bring their lives closer is very commendable.

These audiovisual pieces that we can see from next monday, include interviews with current researchers who follow the lines of work of the protagonists, or with their families. We will have the opportunity to discover how their discoveries have influenced us.

TVE plans to repeat the broadcast within its programming, and will also be included (these “pills”) on the DE RTVE website and on TV FECYT.
