"The W": a story to teach children that there is always someone who considers us unique and unrepeatable

Along with the arrival of February (yes, I know it is running out), reading families have received with expectation and much curiosity the news that Edebé publishing house has prepared for us.

Books for young children, and for the big ones… one could say that they are “fresh out of the oven”; At home we already have a few, and we will be presenting them for you to meet. And why not? so that you bring the taste for reading to your children. You already know (and if you are not going to discover it) that Edebé is characterized by taking great care of the presentation of novelties, and by adapting the different readings to the ages of its recipients; I also like always close stories, and always (also) amazing.

As I said, I will find gaps to present some of the news, and today I will start with a very special book for First Readers. It is published in the My favorite Blue Train stories collection, and aimed at children over three years old.

Is called "The W", and tells the story of a letter that does not find its place in the words that use students and teachers of the school. That is why she embarks on a small (big one for her) adventure that takes her back and flies over a reality: "what you are looking for already has it at home". Finally the fate that brings Wendenmagen newly arrived from Ethiopia, who - finally - will make sense of the existence of a letter to which we should not consider strange, but elegant.

It is a story of self-recognition and the search for self-esteem, whose message is “we are all unique, and we are also essential for someone”

The story is from Mercedes Olivet Sánchez, who wrote his first story at eleven. And the illustrations of Raquel Díaz Reguera, whom we know by "The stories by mail" and "Is there anything more boring than being a pink princess?". They are very elaborate drawings in which the identification of different textures predominates.

We liked it, it is nice, tender and pleasant to read to young children. We thank Edebé for sending him home, this and others that we really want to get to know.
