Three girls who have survived cancer recreate a viral photo two years later

Rheann, Ainsley and Rylie are three beautiful girls who two years ago struggled with all their strength against different types of cancer. At that time, photographer Lora Scantling held a photo session in which we could see girls dressed in vintage clothes and a tenderness that moved everyone, becoming a viral photograph.

Two years later, they met again to recreate the same photo and to celebrate the great improvement that girls have experienced. All three have won the battle against cancer and are currently in the disease remission stage.

The original photo

The girls live in Oklahoma, just like the photographer, and they met when Lora met them to do a photo shoot for her project 'Litlle Heros' ('Little Heroes'). Despite not having seen before, in the image they seem to have a very special bond. The sweetness and the powerful message conveyed by the three embraces has moved millions of people.

At that time, Rylie was 3 years old and was fighting kidney cancer, Ainsley, 4, against leukemia, and Rheann, 6, against brain cancer.

Months later he learned that they were in remission, so he wanted to reunite them to pose for a new photo. He decided to make it holding the original photo so that you could appreciate how much they have changed. Champions!
